Q: I’m in an office with limited technical support… and I’m not great with technology. I find myself spending hours and hours trying to figure out stupid things. For example, I’m tracking market data and putting it in Excel. I want to create graphs and charts, but I just can’t figure it out without pulling my hair out. Should I take a class in Excel?
A: This is a great question, and one I hear pretty often from agents who are frustrated with hardware and software issues. Yes, a course in Excel (or Publisher or Outlook, or whatever your bug-a-boo is) can help immensely. But if you don’t have the time to invest in that, I recommend Lynda.com. This is a phenomenal site with amazing resources to help you through your technical challenges, and one I’ve used personally when I need a quick tip. Give it a try!
