Q: I’m a new agent who is ready to quit this business. I thought I would love it, but I haven’t had a single transaction in 10 ½ months. I’ve invested time, and a little bit of money too, and I hate to give up but I don’t know what to do. Help!
A: Real estate can be a difficult business to get started in … and to sustain over a period of time. Without three critical components, you’re facing an uphill battle. You need lead generation, follow-up, and great client care. Without knowing more about your situation I don’t know which of these is your problem – or if you are challenged in more than one area. What kind of training and support are you getting from your broker? I encourage you to meet with your broker to share your frustrations. He or she will want to be involved in helping you review your business.
