Q: Denise, in this economy does it make sense to partner with another agent?
A: I’ve worked with many agents over the years, and I can tell you that partnerships rarely work out. The intention is there, but most agents lack good conflict resolution skills … and conflicts will inevitably arise within partnerships. The best partnerships occur when each agent brings skills – and personality styles – which are different to the table. And you must have a written partnership agreement that specifies, in detail, exactly how the partnership will be structured … and how it will be terminated if you get to that point.
